Entry requirements to South Africa

Entry to South Africa is quite simple, you will require the following documentation, all of which your assigned Premier Africa journey specialist will assist you with:
A valid passport and E-Ticket

No additional or special VISA is required for US citizens.

Negative PCR or COVID-19 test certificate

Upon arrival in South Africa, all travelers must present a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) or COVID-19 test certificate no older than 72 hours from departure time from the country of origin. This test must be conducted by a certified medical practitioner and should have the name and signature of the practitioner who conducted such a test.

Entry Health Screen Form

All travelers must complete an Entry Health Screen Form either before or on arrival.

Screening by Port Health Officials

All travelers will be screened by Port Health Officials upon arrival and departure. Those presenting symptoms must remain in quarantine until a repeat COVID-19 test is carried out.

Wear masks at all times

All travelers must wear masks at all times within the airport or port of entry.

Travel insurance

Travel insurance to cover Covid-19 related risks (highly recommended).

Exit Health Form

When departing from South Africa you will be required to complete an Exit Health Form
