Home to over 500 bird species and 150 mammal species, the Sabi Sands offers unrivaled leopard sightings as well as the opportunity to indulge in the pure luxury that private lodges and camps offer.

Sabi Sands is one of the richest wildlife areas in Southern Africa and this all but guarantees that you will happen upon most if not all of the Big 5 during your stay. Leopard and lion are tracked daily in the Sabi Sands reserve, which allows the big cats to feel more relaxed around safari vehicles.

All of the luxury lodges within the reserve offer game viewing activities that are always accompanied by professional guides. What shines through is their passion for the bush and the conservation of each and every species. Each day is a new exciting adventure and with the tracking skills of each individual, your list of must-see animals will soon be checked off.
All the rangers at each lodge keep in contact with each other via radio, and learning their lingo will soon heighten your expectation of what you are about to encounter.

A typical day at any of the lodges in the Reserve starts off bright and early before the sun rises with a morning game drive. As you witness the bush awaken, your senses are on high alert to spot the Big 5 as well as the lesser-known Little 5. A morning refreshment stops in the bush once the sun is up to refresh the palate before your game drive continues.

Returning to camp in time for a heart-warming breakfast. After breakfast, you are invited to relax and enjoy all the amenities that your lodge offers or you may be tempted to head off into the bush on foot to experience game viewing from another perspective.
In Camp, lunch is served and the opportunity to relax on the deck overlooking the river or waterhole to witness who may come calling. Later in the afternoon, after high tea, you once again set off in the company of your ranger on your evening game drive. After a sundowner drinks stop in the bush you head back to the lodge for dinner. The lodge bar is often the place to congregate and swap stories of your encounters in the bush.
As the afternoon sun loses its heat, the animals become more active and you are able to discover what else the bush has to offer.
