Golfers have the option to play the incredibly unique Leopard Creek Golf Course which borders the Kruger National Park, ranked No.2 in the country. After golf, you will return to the safari lodge by scenic helicopter flight in time for your afternoon safari.
Golfing hazards take on a new dimension at Leopard Creek, for much of the water is home to the magnificent creatures for which the river is named, the crocodile river. Extensive use has been made of water features and sightings of crocodiles, hippos, antelope, buffalo, and elephants are commonplace, on the course or in the Kruger Park bordering the course. Innovative architectural and landscaping techniques ensure that the Leopard Creek golf course and living areas are naturally protected from animals, while lakes and small streams have been diverted through the development to create scenic vistas and interesting golf strategies.

At Buffelsdrift Game Lodge, the primary objectives of conservation and sustainability are seen in the everyday running of the reserve and the care of the wildlife under their protection. The three gentle giants were rescued from certain death from their Kruger National Park home after the adults in their family were killed by poachers. Head Elephant Guide, Joseph Maseko was on hand to care for them and rear them to adulthood, spending day and night at their side to ensure their survival. Meeting the three musketeers is an incredibly humbling experience. Although calm and gentle as can be, these intelligent and sociable mammals are not trained but have become habituated to humans due to their hand-rearing.
